    After the competition at PUP Freedom Park, faculty, students and other staffs went to Bulwagang Balagtas for Convocation. Mr. Ronald Naldo Ricketts or popularly known as Ronnie Ricketts was the speaker of the said event.

     In 2009, former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, appointed Ronnie as the Chairman of the Optical Media Board.

He received many awards and recognitions with his staff for his excellent performance as chairman of OMB, like Face of the Global Anti-Piracy of TFC-ABS-CBN Certificate of Recognition on Anti-Piracy from the FAMAS, Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines-IPR Enforcement Champion, MMDA Achievement Award, SM Cinema Certificate of Recognition Association of Video Distributors in the Philippines (AVIDPHIL), Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, Certificate of Recognition Upholding Anti-Piracy, and Plaque of Recognition Against Piracy from PARI and AWIT Awards.

Ricketts has agreed to direct and appear in an action movie with  Viva Films - on condition that he would only shoot on weekends so as not to hamper his job as chairman of Optical Media Board. He has so far turned down offers to appear in shows on the three major networks - ABS-CBN 2, GMA 7 and TV5 - because his work with the OMB "has now become a passion".

Optical Media Board (OMB) is the renamed Videogram Regulatory Board (VRB) assigned to regulate the manufacture of optical media in all its forms and impose stiffer fines and penalties for its illegal reproduction.

    Mr. Ronnie Ricketts also discussed the power and functions of Optical Media Board. Then later on, he also offered his basketball team to play with the PUP team for entertainment purposes. He shared his experiences on his job.

    After he discussed about the OMB (Optical Media Board), he and his agents were ready to entertained  questions. Students and professors asked questions about the topics he discussed.

    After the program, we were given a chance to took photos with him. We were so lucky to have this photo, he was so kind, "handsome" and jolly person. And at the end we say,

"BAWAL KUMOPYA!"
